Surface Tension

Exhibition |

30th November - 5th January 2026

Following the success of ‘inKimika’ in 2022, ‘Surface Tension’ continues the dialogue through new explorations in contemporary printmaking. Deeply inspired by Dutch artist Theo Elfrink (1923-2014), ‘Surface Tension’ by Jesmond Vassallo is both a homage to and continuation of his work.

This exhibition reflects Vassallo’s own inner journey as an artist working between tradition and experimentation, chemistry and emotion. It celebrates the living continuation of printmaking, in which each impression carries within it both memory and renewal.

Core to this exhibition is collaboration between the many artists at ‘Atelier 10’: a collaborative lithographic studio founded by Vassallo. Artists from Switzerland, Italy, France, and Malta were invited to Atelier 10 to create contemporary lithographic prints available in the exhibition, continuing the studio’s mission to promote collaboration and innovation within this timeless medium.
