Mystique Blues
Exhibition |
09th January - 10th February 2026
Mystique Blues is a contemporary art exhibition by Galina Troizky that reflects on the changing nature of urban environments and the emotional traces they leave behind. Through a series of layered, large-scale works, the exhibition explores memory, loss, and transformation within the city: the past, present, and imagined futures overlapping in textured visual form.
Troizky’s work draws inspiration from urban spaces and architecture, capturing the tension between development and disappearance. Rather than offering literal representations, Mystique Blues invites visitors into an atmosphere shaped by muted colour harmonies. The exhibition takes particular reference from Mystique of Madliena, a once-vibrant cultural space in Malta that today exists only as memory and ruin, standing as a symbol of artistic experimentation, social change, and cultural fragility.
